Backgammon bonus is given by almost all online backgammon sites to both new and veteran players, real money and fun (play money) players. In order to get a backgammon bonus, you should first download the backgammon software and then, register to open a new player's account. The backgammon bonus will be transmitted to your online account and you will be able to cash it after filling a set number of games, depending on each backgammon site terms and conditions.

The most common types of backgammon bonuses are the welcome/sign up bonuses and the first deposit bonuses.

The welcome bonus, also known as sign up bonus, is purposed to encourage new registrants to play online backgammon for real money, by giving them an initial sum of money (usually between $1-$5) to play with. This bonus can be used only once. To receive it, you will usually be asked to provide a valid email address and to insert a bonus code.

The first deposit bonus is similar to the welcome bonus. You can get it only once, obviously when making your first real money deposit. The bonus amount is relative to the amount of your investment.
